Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge

by Brad Smith on July 15, 2016

Challenge: Transform productive citrus grove into natural habitat to serve as a buffer to Pelican Island, while providing passive recreational opportunities for visitors.
Solution: Collaboration with Lewis Environmental Services (LES) resulted in an ecologically sound approach to habitat restoration. Brad Smith Associates Inc. developed the master plan using color digital imagery coupled with GPS and both aerial and ground-truth survey
techniques.

"I do not hesitate to recommend this reliable, creative and responsive planning firm.  This firm is extremely creative and innovative in the way they connect seemingly unrelated county projects into wonderful master plans that provide moden infrastucture with recreational and educational components."
- Ruth Stanbridge, Former Indian River County Commissioner and Planning & Zoning Director
